Abstract:	臺灣島海岸線長約一千兩百公里，蜿蜒曲折。東部海岸主要位於活動造山帶上，海岸瀕臨台灣島東部南北走向山脈，與狹窄的大陸棚相鄰，海岸線呈現南北平直走向。東部海岸持續上升，波浪重覆侵蝕海岸，形成顯著海崖與海岸階地。西部海岸位於穩定前陸盆地上，造山沉積物由東往西堆積推進，呈現凸向中國大陸之弧狀海岸，與寬廣的大陸棚及海岸平原相鄰。西部海岸接受中央山脈大量沉積物供應堆積，經波浪搬運及堆積形成洲潟海岸。台灣西部海岸帶平緩，東部海岸線平直陡峭，推測與板塊架構有統計的關聯性，預計以統計變異數分析(ANOVA)，檢定各板塊架構與區域內之地形關聯性，並解釋其板塊構造的含意。;計畫編號:NSC93-2116-M164-001;研究期間:200408~200507
