Abstract:	地球的資源逐漸耗盡是眾所皆知的問題，尋求替代能源是大家都在努力研究的課題，在新一代的能源未尋獲前，改善現有能源使用效率或善用自然界已存在的能源，也是值得我們去做的事情。史特林引擎(Stirling Engine)是可以利用太陽能以及廢回收熱能來發電的機械，因為它是用屬於外燃引擎所以它不會像其他引擎有需要考慮到爆震問題，並且它沒有所謂的內燃室，所排放的廢氣主要來自於底下的燃料，而且這種引擎發動並不像機車或汽車需要大量的能量來驅動，只需要有足夠的溫差就可以驅動引擎，在這個節能減碳的時代，我們相信這種引擎在未來有更多的發展可能。本專題是研究史特林引擎的基本原理，再利用所學，設計及製作一簡單的史特林引擎，探討其應用，希望能學以致用，親手為地球的永續發展盡一份心力。
